We are trying to transfer Excel spreadsheets into Windows CSV spreadsheets. The problem we are having is that when we save the excel spreadsheets, which contain writing, into CSV form, there are symbols that suddenly appear. These symbols can be letters with accent marks, but they have also been dashes. We have noticed that sometimes they are replacing things like apostrophes and quotation marks.
